Sandra Plaza – Executive Director

LEED AP, splaza@rebuildglobal.org   

Sandra is the co-founder and executive director of Rebuild Global. In 2007, she earned her Master of Architecture degree from the NewSchool of Architecture and Design and worked for Rodriguez Associates Architects and Planners, focusing her work on sustainable housing for low-income communities. Prior to San Diego, Sandra received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the George Washington University located in Washington D.C. Her work is easily influenced by her experiences of traveling overseas and being involved with community projects and local organizations. If you ever want to strike up a conversation with Sandra, you can either find her on the soccer pitch, traveling between DC, NY and SD, or working night and day on the mission of the organization.  Sandra on Linked In    

Brian Will - Managing Director

LEED AP, MBA, bwill@rebuildglobal.org   

Brian is the co-founder and Board of Director’s President for Rebuild Global. He has been in the architecture and engineering industry for more than 10 years. He graduated from UC Berkeley and began his career in manufacturing engineering where he was responsible for new facilities construction. After completing a 3 year project in Tijuana, building and managing a 150,000 square foot manufacturing facility, Brian returned to school for his Masters in Architecture. He worked in residential architecture for two years and was one of the chapter coordinators for the San Diego chapter of Architecture for Humanity before he joined up with Sandra Plaza to found Rebuild Global. Denise Colestock – Project Manager

Denise had her roots grounded in non-profit work after graduating from Winthrop University in South Carolina with a Political Science degree. After discovering her love of design and architecture through various trips abroad, she decided to get another degree doing just that- design and architecture for interiors from the Design Institute of San Diego. Now, she practices both passions by working with Rebuild Global and exploring commercial and residential interiors projects. Following her love for sustainability, Denise received her LEED A.P. status and has been actively involved in the San Diego Chapter of the United States Green Building Council. When not raising money and managing projects for Rebuild or working on design projects, you can find Denise hiking one of the many trails in San Diego with her dog Grace, playing at the beach with her loving husband Billy, or working on her continuously growing edible garden.  Denise on Linked In   

Anita Yufe – Project Manager

   

A graduate of UC Santa Cruz innovative, technological Art Program, Anita experimented with graphics, digital interactive media and non-conventional art endeavors. Driven to combine her passions for environmentalism and creative abilities, she interned with the Graphic Design and Green Building internship program with UCSC Student Environmental Center. Invigorated by the design disciplines, she completed a Certificate in Landscape Architecture at the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University. Eventually deciding to move to N. America’s model for sustainable city planning, Vancouver, B.C., the city served as a living lab during her Master of Architecture program at University of British Columbia

   

Nick Zubel – Marketing Consultant

 Nick has provided marketing/public relations, event planning and booking services to music venues, artists, media and production companies, start-up businesses, architectural and engineering firms and governmental agencies. In 2005, he graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Security and Conflict Resolution. He began his career in public relations where he coordinated stakeholder outreach and public meeting set-up and logistics for a wide variety of transportation, environmental and emergency management projects. He moved back to San Diego in 2009 to start his own event marketing business. When not planning, marketing and promoting events, you will find Nick singing and playing his guitar at cafes and wine bars around town.  

Perriann Hodges - Project Coordinator

  

 

 

Perriann is a student leader as the Community Service Chair of the AIAS school chapter as well as being an active member of the CSI chapter.  For Perriann, education does not end at the doors of NewSchool of Architecture and Design where she is in her 4th year pursuing her Bachelors of Architecture.  Her ability to bring people together reaches outside of school to the local community through organizations such as Rebuild Global and San Diego Architecture Foundation. By networking with local organizations, she coordinates volunteer opportunities for students to give back to the local community.
